Physician Assistant

Amanda Hamala

Amanda began her career as a physician assistant in 2018 and has since served as a primary health care provider for many patients. As a physician assistant, Amanda helps to diagnose various conditions, develop and oversee treatment plans, and prescribe medications. She considers her medical career to be her life’s proudest accomplishment and takes a great deal of joy in healing and improving the lives of patients for a living.

Since her youth, Amanda has felt that her purpose in life is to help people, which is partly what inspired her to pursue medicine. This career choice empowers her to live this dream every day. In addition to serving others, the medical field also fulfills several of her other lifelong desires, which include making a difference in the community, being around people, and constantly learning new things.

Before PA school, Amanda worked as a medical assistant in a pediatric office where she got plenty of experience in patient care. Patients and their parents loved her for her empathetic and compassionate bedside manner, both of which are highly sought-after qualities in a healthcare professional.

When she isn’t assisting her patients, you can find Amanda spending time at the park with her dogs, Bella and Woody, hanging out at Lake Austin with her fiancé, or riding her Peloton bike.
